Workshop and Concert by ITER Research Ensemble

ITER Research Ensemble, in collaboration with the Centro Studi Luciano Berio, has designed a workshop on choral conducting and research as part of the Luciano Berio Festival “Invito: per un centenario (1925–2025)”. The focus will be on both published and unpublished choral works by Berio, as well as pieces by composers who were close to him on a biographical, musical, or intellectual level. The workshop involves the study of selected works, not limited to rehearsal and conducting practice but enriched by ongoing historical and musicological research, conceived as a key element in shaping the performance.

The conductors selected through the call promoted by ITER Research Ensemble are Mateja Černic, Alessandra Esposito, Stefano Klamert, Roberto Gelosa, and Matteo Gentile.

The workshop takes place in several stages:

  • Cremona: August 29–31 and September 12–13, 2025
  • Milan: September 14, 2025
  • Radicondoli (SI): October 17–19, 2025

The closing concert of the workshop will be held on October 18, 2025, at 6:30 pm at the Collegiata dei Santi Simone e Giuda Church in Radicondoli (SI), Piazza Matteotti 12.
