Berlin’s Musikfest 2010, which this year was dedicated to the work of two great composers, Pierre Boulez and Luciano Berio, has drawn to a close. The Festival was born from a collaboration between the Berliner Festspiele and the Berliner Philharmoniker Foundation; from the 2nd to the 21st of September, it hosted world-class performers and conductors such as Harding, Rattle, Nagano and Boulez himself, and chamber groups and great orchestras from both Germany and abroad including the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester, the Ensemble Intercontemporain, the Ensemble Modern, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the London Philharmonic. Among the Berio works performed during the Festival: Sinfonia, Stanze, Voci, Naturale, Coro, Concerto for Two Pianos, Chemins I, Quatre Dédicaces.
