In the record of Laborintus II made in 1969 for the lable Harmonia Mundi, one can hear Luciano’s voice. During the recording sessions Luciano was not at all satisfied with the way the first coro man was shouting the long speech starting with «Tutto, tutto, tutto, dalla biblioteca al babuino...» (pages 18, 19, 20 and 21 of the full score).
After a while, with Luciano getting really angry, I said to him: «Why don’t you do it yourself, Luciano, and I will conduct this section?» «You are right!», he said. And we did it that way. Same thing for the section «Tutto, tutto, tutto, dalla caramella al miele…» (end of page 35, pages 36, 37, 38, 39, 40). And that is what you hear on that recording: Luciano’s voice!
